Extension terms International sheep’s milk cheese competition

OVINUS: the deadline for participation in the 1st International sheep’s milk cheese competition has been extended to 31/12/2019

In order to the maximum participation of regional, national and international operators, the inscription deadline for the first edition of OVINUS – International sheep’s milk cheese competition has been extended to 31 December 2019.

Interested producers, refiners and seasoners will therefore have another 20 days to nominate their products only through the dedicated website www.ovinus.it, choosing between two classes (DOP and open class) and nine categories for each class.

Scheduled for March 8, 2020 in Nuoro, Sardinia (Italy), the competition is promoted by a partnership composed of the Department of Agriculture and agro-pastoral reform of the Autonomous Region of Sardinia, Laore Sardegna, a regional agency for development in agriculture, the Nuoro Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Agriculture and Crafts, the Consortium for the protection of Pecorino Romano DOP cheese, the Consortium for the protection of Pecorino Sardo PDO cheese, the Consortium for the protection of Fiore Sardo PDO cheese and OILOS, the Sardinian interprofessional body for sheep’s milk.
